ABOUT MARISA

Marisa’s passions have always revolved around art + design.
As a young girl, she remembers helping her Italian grandmother rearrange all her vintage treasures, her grandmother deferring to Marisa for advice! Her pursuit of [any vein] of ART continued throughout all her formative years. As a college student, Marisa’s dorm room made the front page of the school’s newspaper, and she was deemed the campus’ official taste-maker.

Born and raised in NY, Marisa spent her post-college years studying, procuring and selling antiques in the Empire State, while raising her family and taking on select design projects. In 2017, Marisa and her family relocated to Nashville TN, and she began learning the lay of the land & scouting out: Craftsman, specialty tradesman, material vendors, retail and wholesale companies, antique, auction and estate sale venues + companies, and other industry collaborators. As of 2020, Marisa works full time out out of her home studio in the Nashville area, delivering good design to her clients, one room at a time.

Nashville Design Co. believes that good design is achieved when all the design elements are present in a balanced and cohesive way.
Those elements include: Space, Line, Form, Light, Color, Texture & Pattern.
Marisa intrinsically understands the formula of these elements, and can pull them together seamlessly, no matter the client’s style/aesthetic.
Nashville Design Company honors Form +Function equally, meaning, design must look good + function well. The goal of any project with Nashville Design Company is to create a space that can be used daily + admired daily.
